News Blog Category - News The Marion Community Schools Board of School Trustees recently honored the winners and finalists in the annual MCS holiday card competition.

Every year, art teachers across the district select the best artwork from their students to submit to the competition. Then, winners are chosen at the district level, and the winning artwork is used in the annual MCS holiday cards, which are made available to order in November. The cards are printed at the Marion Regional Career Center.

This year, the winning artists were Lucille Schlotterback, a Little Giants Preschool student at Frances Slocum Elementary School, and Sesilia Guy, a fourth-grader at Kendall Elementary School. Here's a look at the cards featuring their artwork:

Student safety is our top priority. We will look at the calendar to see if we can reschedule the concert.

Please share this information with anyone you know who was planning to attend this concert.

News Blog Category - News Our next PTO meeting will be at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12. The meeting will last 30 to 45 minutes, and then we will be decorating the gym for the Christmas programs — just stay for as long as you can! Children are welcome!

We will not be holding a Colts Cash store in December because it is a short month of school days. Our next one will be on Friday, Jan. 13. Continue to encourage your children to earn colts cash by being respectful, responsible and safe!

We love our Kendall Giants!
